How to enable Emoticons for text messages on the iPhone or iPad
Have you ever seen people sending iPhone emojis and smiley faces via text message? I have always wondered, “How did my friend sent those cute smiley icons?!” Well today I am going to share the secret and we can join in on the fun by enabling the Emoji keyboard.
Just follow the steps below and you will be up and running in no time. I will include screenshots to make understanding easier. This guide will work on iOS 7.0.2 and practically any other version from iOS 4 onwards.
Guide to iPhone’s Emoji and Smiley faces for text messages
Step 1
Go to Settings then select General.
Step 2
In General panel, tap on Keyboard.
Step 3
Select Keyboards.
Step 4
Select Add New Keyboard.
Step 5
Select Emoji to add it as a keyboard.
Step 6
You can now switch to Emoji by tapping on the Globe when text messaging.
