MtGox login page is back and let users check their Bitcoin balance
Now defunct Bitcoin exchange MtGox updated their website earlier today and let users login to check their wallet’s balance. But that’s apparently all the troubled digital wallet service will allow for now.
The login form is also accompanied with the following statement:
This balance confirmation service is provided on this site only for the convenience of all users. Please be aware that confirming the balance on this site does not constitute a filing of rehabilitation claims under the civil rehabilitation procedure and note that the balance amounts shown on this site should also not be considered an acknowledgment by MtGox Co., Ltd. of the amount of any rehabilitation claims of users.
MtGox is going through bankruptcy proceedings, and under the Japan’s Civil Rehabilitation Law which are counting the company’s assets for a liquidation value, there are still no words of when if any users will be able to get a percentage of their wallet’s balance.
