The Water Discus Hotel looks like a spaceship from Star Trek, and indeed actually moves like one. It comprises of two discs, one above water and one underwater at the bed of the ocean. Both of these structures are connected by five spidery legs plunging deep into the sea and a vertical shaft containing lift and stairway.
At the disc below, there are 21 movable saucer-shaped rooms able to slide to the surface in emergencies. Guests can enjoy the view of vibrant reefs and tropical fish, all from the comfort of their room.
