Sony is bringing the lens camera into the smartphone industry. Actually these are not normal lenses. The unique device is a lens camera that attaches to the back of a smartphone and connects over Wifi or NFC allowing the use of the smartphone as a viewfinder.
According to the leak from SonyAlphaRumors, Sony is expected to release two models DSC-QX10 and DSC-QX100. The latter which is the high-end model features a large 1 inch sensor from Sony’s RX100MII, while the other lens feature a 10x optical zoom and a 1/2.3-inch 18-megapixel CMOS sensor. The lenses can be magnetically attached onto the smartphone and it works on both, Android and iOS devices.
There are no news on the price and availability yet. However, there are hints that these gadgets could be delivered right before the IFA 2013 together with the Sony Honami i1.
Hint : The larger lens appears to be attached to the new Honami.
