Google Map Relevant Ad

Google Maps implements “Relevant Ads” on iOS and Android

iOS and Android users would be served with ads from Google Maps from now onwards. Google is referring them as relevant ads which would be shown at the bottom of the screen after a user performs a search. It would be marked with a small ad label together with the link to get direction. Tapping or swiping it up would bring more information about the business and there would be free actions which include saving business information for later, sharing a business with a friend, or starting navigation.

Google Map Relevant Ad

“Relevant ads on the Google Maps app can now appear at the bottom of the screen after a user performs a search. They include a title, ad text, and a link to get directions. Users can tap or swipe upward to see more information — this is a new click type known as “Get location details” and results in a standard CPC charge.”

Google believes that this new an ad experience is ‘more attractive for users and more effective for advertisers.’
