Google launches Helpouts to let you get Expert help on Video Call

Google is launching a new service called Google Helpouts. The basic idea is for people to get help from experts in real time, connecting each other with a Google Hangout video call. The service is not live yet and Google is inviting people with expertise across a number of topics to sign-up before the service is released to the public.

Since Helpouts is using Google Hangout’s face to face video call, it is expected to be available across it’s service platforms. At the moment, Google is building up a network of experts on different topics, including Cooking, Computer & Electronics and Home & Garden. Experts offer their service for a self defined fee, options would be for charge per session, charge per minute or giving free service. Google takes a 20 percent cut on the amount experts charge.

There is no indication of the official launch date for Helpouts yet, but we will keep you updated.
