Recent report suggests that iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C would release in China on November 28. China’s First Financial Daily indicated that the next generation iPhone models have yet to clear the verification process required by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, pushing the release date back two months from the US launch date.
China is currently Apple’s second largest market and CEO, Tim Cook said he believes it will someday become the first. Last quarter, Apple did $4.64 billion worth of business in the country, but that figure slipped 14 percent year over year. The lower-cost iPhone 5C could be a means by which Apple can greatly expand its influence in China.
Meanwhile, there are leaked pics on the iPhone 5S packaging which clearly shows the 128GB variant and the images do appear consistent with Apple’s previous packaging norms. The iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C is believed to be on sale in most markets on September 20, as it is Apple’s norm to make the new iPhone models available on the next Friday after the launching that is expected to be on September 10.
