Android customizable home screen replacements, such as Apex Launcher and Nova Launcher, have carved a niche for themselves by offering users an experience as close to pure Jelly Bean as possible. If you want to be able to adjust not just the look and feel of how your device works, but to be able to tweak everything inside, then this is a good launcher for you. I’m particularly interested with the Swipe gestures. For instance, you can swipe up or down the screen to perform an action, launch an app or even toggle the dock. The Pro version does include more gestures like the two finger gesture and even a double tap gesture. I don’t really fancy homescreens with full icons and the gesture does help to reduce the icons to a bare minimum.
In the paid, Pro version, you get lots of extras, but the greatest is that it offers theme support from all the other major launchers. So all those themes from Go Launcher, LauncherPro and ADW is supported, making it truly customizable. Apex Launcher Pro is going for $3.99 in the Play Store.

- Apex Launcher offers a pure Android experience with customizable features and gesture operation. The Pro version opens up even more customization from the free version and wide selection of themes.
