With a little more than a week from the launch of Apple’s next generation of iPhone, new images of Apple’s purported low-cost iPhone 5C have surfaced. One image from website iapps.im showing the iPhone 5C units in packaging. Another two images coming from Chinese site Weibo depicting the iPhone 5C’s instruction manual, legal information and SIM card ejection tools.
The packaging does appear to be consistent with previous image leak on the iPhone 5C plastic packaging. As can be seen from the above image, Apple color matched the external coloring of the device with the wallpaper, which Apple did with the iPod Nano back in 2012. iPhone 5C is expected to arrive with a plastic rear shell available in multiple colors such as white, blue, red, green, and yellow.
iPhone 5C will have similar internals with iPhone 5, powered by an A6 chip, with 4 inch Retina display and 8 megapixel camera. Analysts are expecting that iPhone 5C will be priced between $400 to $500 off contract.
Both iPhone 5C and the premium iPhone 5S is expected to be announced at a September 10 media event and arrive in stores around September 20.
