How to hide Facebook chat messages
1. Select the “messages” link from your homepage.
2. Click on the “Archive” icon next to the person whose chat you want to hide.
That’s it. All Facebook chat history with that contact will be hidden, and it will be hidden from the Facebook Messenger app as well.
How to unhide Facebook chat messages
1. Select the “messages” link from your homepage.
2. Click on “More” at the top to pull down the drop-down list then select “Archived”.
3. Click on the “Unarchive” icon next to the person whose chat you want to unhide.
Now the chat message is visible again.
