A variety of open source platforms in the form of a tiny PC.

Tiny PC has a place in the modding community, like the Raspberry Pi and BeagleBone are gaining fans, but one that runs Android and Linux is pretty impressive and outright unique. It’s been two years since SolidRun release the original CuBox. This time around, the developer makes an appearance with four CuBox-i models, up for pre-order now.

The CuBox-i line of open source system starts at $45, which gets you the CuBox-i1 base model. It comes with 1GHz single-core ARM processor, 512MB of DDR3 RAM, GC880 GPU and 10/100Mbps Ethernet. The Pro model, CuBox-i4 costs $120 and sports a 1GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of DDR3 RAM, GC2000 GPU, GbE LAN and optical S/PDIF audio output. Regardless of price, each model comes with HDMI 1.4 output, SATA support and Micro SD interface.

The dual-core models are priced at $70 and $95. Pre-installed Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean system could be purchased in the form of a microSD card.
