How to make Love Symbol using keyboard
On Facebook, you can express your love with a heart symbol (♥︎) or (❤︎). These are special characters often seen being used in social networking. But the heart symbol key doesn’t exist anywhere on your keyboard. So how do you actually type it in? We will show you how to do it from Windows and Mac.
How to make Love Symbol in Windows
To activate the special characters on a Windows computer, press and hold the Alt key, then press the corresponding numeric key. For a (♥︎) symbol, press and hold Alt key, then press 3 on the numeric keypad on the right side of your keyboard. There are hundreds of special characters in Windows, like Alt+1 would key in a smiley (☺). You can try experimenting by holding down the Alt key and press one to four numbers in sequence.
If your keyboard does not have a numeric keypad, you can still use these Alt codes by activating the Num Lock key and use the keys that have small numbers on the right side of the keyboard. Like the 1, 2 and 3 keys printed on the J, K and L keys.
How to make Love Symbol in Mac
You can find the heart symbol (♥︎) in Mac OS X character palette. You may activate the Character Palette on most Mac programs by going to Edit > Special Characters, or activate it by pressing the keyboard shortcut Control + Command + Space.
Once the Character Palette is open, click on the >> sign on the bottom left to scroll to the next page of symbol sets. From here, you should be able to find this heart symbol (♥︎) from the Pictographs set or this heart symbol (❤︎) from the Bullets/Stars set.
